Resumo: O objetivo deste trabalho é fazer uma catalogação das fontes antigas do vocábulo grego Λάμια — lâmia, e apontar suas possibilidades semânticas.

Além disso, esse vocábulo ultrapassou as fronteiras gregas e pode ser encontrado nos registros escritos de outros povos ocidentais. Abstract: The main objective of this work is to make a catalogation of the ancient sources of the Greek word Λάμια — lâmia, and point at its semantic possibilities. This word has a particularly long life in the Greek Culture, extending its use from around the seventh anti aging literatur B.
